When movement feels like play, children move more
At Leo’s, it might look like children are simply playing. Running, laughing and moving from one place to another. But there’s much more happening than meets the eye. Every jump, climb and twist along the way helps build the body, confidence and new skills. Movement happens naturally, with a smile on their face. When moving feels like play, children move more – and that’s exactly why play is so powerful.

Sliding is a favourite for many children and something they want to try again and again. Climbing up, sitting down and sliding all help develop body control, balance and timing without it feeling like practice. Each slide strengthens confidence in their own abilities, and when sliding feels fun and safe, confidence grows right along with movement.

Jumping and bouncing help release energy
Jumping and bouncing are natural ways for children to move. They develop strength, endurance and control of movement – but most importantly, they feel good. When children can run, gain momentum and jump freely, the body gets to do what it’s made for. Energy is released naturally, and movement carries them along without pressure.

When obstacles, tunnels and balance challenges become part of an adventure, imagination takes the lead. Children aren’t practising exercises – they’re solving tasks, moving through the course and discovering their own ways to move. This kind of play builds agility, body awareness and perseverance. At the same time, children learn to trust themselves and dare to take on new challenges.

The joy of movement lasts
When movement feels fun, children want to come back to it again and again. At Leo’s, running, climbing and adventures are part of play where children get to try, succeed and get excited in their own way. This is how a positive relationship with movement is built – one that supports a child’s growth, wellbeing and joy of moving far into the future.
